Good morning! It is December 31, 2011, I just wanted to give another update on Isaiah’s progress. Well, just want to say that he is kind of driving us nuts. He is having a lot of tantrums, unable to express how he’s feeling, to communicate, you know, he still lacks communication. Verbally, his vocabulary has increased, and he talking clearly. The words that are coming out of his mouth are much more clear and he is enunciating them much, much better. He still lacks the ability to communicate effectively. He can still ask for things: “Water please.” It’s still very choppy when he asks for something, like, “Can. I. Have. Some. Water. Yes Please!” That is still very typical. It’s not fluid at this point. Yesterday, we went to Trader Joe’s, and anytime we go into any type of store, he is fascinated with the opening and closing of the automatic doors, you know the glass one, the clear ones that just open automatically, they slide open for you and shut after you leave. He is fascinated with them. And he likes to run it. And out. Run in – and out. Well, this is just not very conducive to do shopping, is it, when your son wants to remain at the front door of any store you go to, and everyone is looking at you crazy like why are you letting your child do that? So, he was pretty obsessed with doing that. I told him to come with me, and get in the cart, and he refused, and I picked him up and put him in the cart. He rebelled in the worst way and screamed and fussed and cried with tears and everyone in the store turned around to look. I mean their carts just moved to the side when I was coming through. It was humiliating. It was really awful. I was so upset, there was nothing I could do, there was nothing I could do to calm him down or keep him quiet. That makes it really tough.

I still feel like he is progressing, but in the same sense, he is probably experiencing a lot of die-off symptoms. The swelling in his stomach has decreased greatly, I mean significantly gone down, which is amazing. However, I still think he is experiencing those die-off symptoms. He’s having a lot of reaction to the foods – the good foods and the enzymes and the Yasoo vitamin we have him on. He’s on a lot of stuff right now, but I think it’s just that period where we’re really going to hit a rough spot for about 6 months here, I think. The diet does say it takes about 2 years, and we are only just beginning. So, that is my update with Isaiah. We haven’t been on the diet a year, not even 3/4 of a year, so we have a long journey ahead of us, and I’ll keep you posted.
