Although Isaiah has been making some progress with answering “yes” questions, better eye contact, asking to read books at night, by saying “Books?” or “Read books?’, he has been regressing in other areas, like failure to fall-asleep right away and bed-wedding. His tummy has also been extremely swollen at the end of the day. A nightly enema helps relieve that, but I know something is wrong.

I think we weren’t on the GAPS introduction diet long enough. I checked out the GAPS facebook page, and was able to glean a lot of useful information from other GAPS patients and have decided that it is necessary that we re-start the introduction diet, and will need to be on it for 1-2 weeks to re-seal and heal Isaiah’s gut. He obviously still has a lot of inflammation.

So, today, marks the first day of nothing but free-range organic chicken soup/stock and water for him! We’ll see how we progresses throughout the week.
